Moving blows. My expectations of gross incompetence from the U-Haul corporation were more than realized, my knee feels like it's facing backward, everything took much longer and was more grueling than expected.
However.
We now live in an extremely cool great big old house with sunlight and air movement and everything, the weather is gorgeous, the lake is stunning and it's a five-minute walk down to the shore, and we've already gotten to watch two amazing sunsets over Lake Superior. All in all, we're coming out ahead so far.

- Ten years ago, I was a graduate student in international relations at a fancy-ish school in a big East Coast city. Today I am a RN, working in maternal-child health at a small tribal clinic in northern Wisconsin. I'm married, trying to have a baby in an atypical manner. I have a dog and two cats. I hate the "Life Is Good" merchandise, but generally, at present time, I agree with the sentiment. "Extremely adequate" is a descriptor I once heard, and I've found it to be appealingly accurate on a multitude of subjects. This serves as my catch-all blog for updates, socio-political rants, and general rambling.
